The Treskelion, other wise known as the Triskele, or Celtic spiral knot, is an ancient symbol which is believed to have many meanings and is one of the oldest symbols found on earth. Some say it represents Birth, Death & Rebirth because the knots follow an endless labyrinth, whilst another common meaning is that of three legs and perpetual motion. Another theory is that of the three spirals on the Triskelion symbol represent the three worlds, that of the Physical, the Otherworld of the Ancestors and finally the cosmos or celestial sky.

Care Instructions
Application Instructions:
Cosmic-Corner embroidered patches can be stitched or ironed onto a range of items including bags, shirts, hats, pants, skirts, etc. For best results the ‘iron on’ effect works with polycotton (polyester/cotton) fabric mixes for good adhesion. For permanent results stitching patches on by hand with thread is the best and most long lasting way.
Instructions using an Iron:
Step 1: Set your hand iron at the hottest temperature setting. MAKE SURE IRON ISN’T ON STEAM SETTING!!
Step 2: Place your applique or embroidered patch in the desired position and place a pressing cloth, such as a tea towel or pillowcase laying over top.
Step 3: Press the iron straight down for 30 seconds with as much constant pressure as possible without moving it back and forth. Keep checking after 30 seconds to make sure stitches are not melting down. If OK press for a further 15 seconds or more until patch is taking to desired garment.
Step 4: Turn the garment inside-out and repeat steps two & three as above.
Step 5: Allow the applique or embroidered patch to cool down.
‘Iron on’ may not be a permanent solution and hand sowing the patch on although more time consuming is always the best way!
